Racism Activity (reading)

Hello and welcome back to my blog. In week 4 I read a story about Racism and causal Racism. I had to do an activity workshop follow up. I did that. It was pretty fun and made me more aware about racism. I'm happy with what I learnt and what I did so here you go.

Racism Speech

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I'm going to be telling you about my speech, topic and introduction. My speech is about Racism. I chose it to be about racism because in my opinion racism is the worst and most common form of discrimination. I will be sharing my whole speech on the 30th of May. I pretty scared but here is my introduction:

Hello, welcome to my racism speech. My speech is about about racism. Racism is such a horrible thing but yet it happens everyday it may not be a part of your life but to others it plays a huge role in their lives and leads their emotion. We are very lucky that we don’t have to go through this everyday and feel bad about the way we look.

Technology

In the beginning of the term we're all put into new technology groups. Last term I was in cooking and in cooking we would cook meat, we'd bake bread and on the last week we baked cupcakes. Cooking was awesome we would be able to take everything home we made. I would share mine with my mum but some would people would just eat it all before they got home.

This term I was into electrics. Electrics is when we make circuit boards and make something  that is powered by a battery or can plug in a USB outlet. I'm currently working a controller docking station for PS4 controller. My plans for it is for it to light up when something is charging and trying to make a plan for it to charge/hold my controller when i'm not using it. Next week on Monday I will be designing the the station and working with the 3d printers so I can make my design. It should be ready for me to take home around week 9 week 10. 

Polyfest

On Saturday I went to Polyfest with my aunty. We went to see Riccarton High School perform because My aunty teaches at Riccarton. Me and her do everything together we've been to the movies, we've explored the art gallery and the museum, we've even been on the city tramp. So we saw three fifteen minute performances before we saw her school and they performed so well they were all loud, sounded great had lots of amazing dances they performed. But her school stood out! they had 6 students that were professional dancers. They danced to all types of music and did all types of dances it was amazing. After that it was a lunch break so me and my aunty made a deal that I had to try something different that I've never had before so me and her got chop suey and after that we tried fridlers (mini Croatian doughnuts) After that we went back to mine and talked for a bit then she went home.

My Goals for Term 2

I've had a long think about my term two goals and I think I've came up with good goals that will help me through out the term.
When I was on linked last all of my geometry and measurement goals weren't greened off because I've never taken geometry and measurement workshops. In the future I hope that geometry or measurement workshops come available to take.
Another goal I would like to do is working on my vocabulary that still needs a lot of work I still feel that I don't understand some words but that's okay, that's why I'm at school.
I still do need a lot of work understanding how a tree diagram works I've got a brief understanding about it but I still need a lot more work on tree diagrams.

My Discrimination Art

I've been working on some digital artwork for the last few days. My artwork is about discrimination. I chose racism to do my art on because racism is my main topic that I'll be doing my speech on and doing a podcast on. The story on my artwork is a true story and me and my PBL buddy will be interviewing her mother some day later in the term. The programs i used to create my art was lunarpic and remove.bg they we're really helpful and made my work a lot better for the eye to see. 

PBL What I have learnt

Hi welcome to my Blog. I'm going to be sharing what i have learnt over the last few weeks.
I have learnt about discrimination and the types of discrimination like ableism, racism and sexism. Me and Joey are going to be doing a podcast on all three of these types of discrimination. We will be explaining what these words mean and how we can stop them. Our driving question this term is How we can speak up against discrimination. Me and Joey are going to interview some people and play that on our podcast at a later date.
