So through out term 2 and 3 our hub has been doing an online maths course. The maths course was about growing a maths mindset. Some of the things the course taught us about was: people are born math people, everyone can be good at math if you try, You don´t have to be fast at math to be good at maths. I enjoyed the experience. I can´t think of all the things they said but I did take away a lot and I am more passionate in maths then I was before.
Lesson 1: So lesson one is about the myths of maths and getting to know where you are in maths.
Lesson 2: This lesson is about getting to know how we feel about maths and if we think its good or not. And it also talks about a lot our mathematical mindset.
Lesson 3: lesson 3 talks about a lot how you don have to be fast at maths to be good at maths. It says that we should be creative and not focus on our speed tests.
Lesson 4: lesson 4 talks about number flexibility and it also shows how maths is in nature as well, dolphins echo location and spiders webs.
Lesson 5: This lesson talks about fractions and number patterns. It used a lot of diagrams, but I found them really helpful it helps you understand it.
Lesson 6: This is the last lesson, it talks about maths in hip hop dancing and ballet. It had a survey at the end so they knew if you went okay and were able to do the course with no problem.
