S.L.J D1 W1 Explorers

Today I am starting to do the summer learning journey. Over the next 4 weeks I will be writing blogs about topics from their website about 3 or 4 times a day. Today's activity is called explorers. For this activity I need to make a list of 10 foods I would take on an ocean voyage.

What should I take. on an ocean voyage I won't have access to a fridge or a freezer so I have to think about this.

1. Apples, I would take some apples because they take a while to go off and they don't have to be put in the fridge.

2. Canned food that didn't have to be heated, I would take canned food that didn't have to be heated like, canned salmon or tuna or even some canned fruit.

3. Crackers, I would  want some crackers for my canned fish to enjoy them nicely. I would try find a package that will last quite some time.

4. Long life milk, Milk doesn't last long but you can get long life milk via canteen that doesn't have to be refrigerated and can after being open for a while.

4. Rice bubbles. I would want rice bubbles to enjoy with my milk and because they are my favorite breakfast food. From what I know Rice bubbles can last a while upon opened too.

5. Bread, I would want bread because it doesn't have to be cooked or put in the freezer. I would go with a lot of food and would be goof for snacking or lunch.

6. long life cheese, this would go nice with my crackers and would be a good touch to to my sandwiches. It would have to be a special cheese that didn't have to go in the fridge because most cheeses need to be stored in the fridge.

I would like to have a couple veggies that don't need to be stored in the fridge like,

7. Basil, It tastes really good and would make me enjoy my food more and make me feel better about the way I eat.

8. capsicum, capsicum can be used in many different main meals, like, salads, eaten as a side etc

Fruit an nuts would be a must for me. The nuts would keep my proteins up and the fruit would be a healthy alternative to some other foods.

9. Pistachios, They are my favorite nut, they contain protein and can be used as a garnish on food.

10. strawberries. I love eating strawberries. They are sweet. and would be a yummy dessert for my journey.

Thank you for reading my Blog. If you could bring one of item on an ocean voyage yourself what would it be? comment below

Wow, what an extensive and well thought out list! You’ve really worked hard on it and I like how you have included explanations of why you have chosen these foods. It’s brilliant to see how you have thought around the guidelines of the challenge.

Long life milk is a brilliant thing to include! Lots of people like to start their day with a hot drink or cereal and these things require milk so it’s incredibly thoughtful to think around the no refrigeration criteria. I also like how you have included nuts and crackers as healthy snacks as well as a heap of fruit and veggies to make sure your crew stay healthy and happy!

It would be really awesome if you could include pictures or colours into your post to really engage your readers. Perhaps you could look at these tips for making eye catching blog posts to help or grab some inspiration.

Happy holidays and keep up the great work!
