Activity 2: Discovering Aotearoa

The second activity for day one is about me thinking about my own cultural background.

I don't know much about where I came from. But I know that I am NZ European from my mother side and on my dads side I have some Croatian in me not from my dad but from my poppa, and great nana. thinking back a long time ago my mum's side of the family has always been an NZ European and my dad's side have always been Croatian.     Kia Ora Tremaine,

    Wow, what a cool idea to include the flags of the places you are from! What a great way to visually express your different cultures. I also thought you summarised them very nicely.

    I don’t know too much about Croatia, can you tell me anything about it? Perhaps which continent it’s on and their native animals maybe? If you’re unsure maybe you could ask your poppa and great nana.

    It’s so cool that your family is so rich in culture. Do you have any special traditions your family does?
