Hello and welcome to my Blog.
today I will be imagining that I was Neil Armstrong when he landed on the moon. I will be writing a poem of describing how I think he felt. I will be writing a poem in the form of a haiku. A haiku is a 3 verse poem. But the catch is each verse line has to have 5 syllables on the first line 7 syllables in the middle line and 5 syllables on the end line. That is what makes up a verse.
The Step
Boom! Launch successful
"How are feeling Neil" "SCARED!"
"Just stick to the plan"
"Spaces looks so empty"
"I feel alone, But I'm not"
"don't stress you'll be fine"
Landing successful
"Wow this is awesome!" Feels great
"One Small Step for Man!"
What do you think of it?

ReplyDeleteWell done for creating this amazing poem about the moon landing! It was a great idea for you to write your poem in haiku form, and I think it is awesome how you have explained what a haiku is for all of your viewers who may be unsure.
Using dialogue for your poem was a very creative and original idea. You were able to capture and share all of your thoughts whilst sticking with the syllable restrictions of a haiku poem, so ka pai for your terrific effort!
Have you ever imagined what it would be like to walk on the moon with no gravity?
I imagine that it would be the same feeling you get when you walk through water. It would feel light, yet heavy at the same time, and it may seem as though you could just float away, yet you would still be weighed down. What do you think it would feel like?
In the second verse of your poem, you have the line “don’t stress, you’ll be fine”.
As this poem is based around the idea that you are the one landing on the moon, what kinds of things would you be stressed about as the astronaut?
Keep up the excellent work!
